Hoist the body in the surgical frame
in a lordotic position. Slice skin
and fascia after sterile prep and drape
then rip to expose the spinal midline.
Break open the lamina and scoop out
the bulging disc. Replace with a metal
cage to restore intervertebral height.
Swaddle with suilline bone graft and drill
screws and rods in customary fashion.
Coat with bone graft around the implant to
encourage rampant bone growth and fusion.
Incinerate excised disc and tissue.
Stitch basic closure; flush the incision.
Now tell my mother she can walk again.
